Carmel Access Road

The Carmel Access Road Improvement Project was undertaken to upgrade the area’s transportation infrastructure, enhance road safety, and increase traffic capacity. The project included widening the roadway and upgrading three major intersections, each redesigned to meet the region’s current and future transportation needs.

As part of the works, an existing roundabout was converted into a signalized intersection, a new traffic-light-controlled junction was constructed to improve traffic flow, and a dedicated access ramp was built to provide direct entry to the container terminal. In addition, a new northern entrance to the terminal was created, improving traffic circulation and the efficiency of commercial transport operations.

The project also included the construction of drainage infrastructure, environmental landscaping, fencing, sidewalks, and public realm improvements, all delivered to the highest standards of quality, safety, and engineering precision. Together, these upgrades have created a safer, more efficient, and future-ready transportation network capable of meeting both current and long-term traffic demands.
